I help organizations unlock the potential in their most capable people so they can thrive at work.

Kendra Mack is a keynote speaker who helps people stop outsourcing their direction so they can show up fully and navigate where they are with purpose. Keynotes on confidence, engagement, and leading through change.

The biggest barrier to engagement at work isn’t a lack of loyalty or ability.

It’s a gap between them knowing where they want to be long term and why they’re in this role right now.

They feel stuck, stalled, and disconnected. They have ideas they don’t share, strengths they don’t see, and opportunities to lean in that they don’t take advantage of. And the managers they report to are doing the same thing: showing up, but not present.

And you’re feeling the cost:

Less productivity. Higher attrition. Burnout. Lack of talent pipeline.

According to Gallup, almost six out of ten employees are actively disengaged, and over half are actively looking for a new job. That takes a direct hit to company profits. Teams with highly engaged employees see 23% higher profit. The difference is whether people can be honest about the vision for their life, so they can connect their current role to that path.

That’s where I come in.

Preparing Self-Directed Leaders for an Uncertain World

You don’t have an engagement problem.

You have a direction problem.

We’ve never had more access to information, opportunity, and advice. Every day we're told who to become, what success should look like, and what our next step ought to be.

Somewhere along the way, many high achievers stop asking one simple question:

"Is this actually right for me?"

They become incredibly successful at following directions—but lose touch with the inner compass that gives their work and life meaning.

The result isn't just burnout or disengagement.

It's drift.

Not because they lack ambition.

Because they've spent so long navigating by external expectations that they've forgotten how to navigate from within.

That's why I created the Wayfinder Framework.

To help leaders and organizations develop something more valuable than confidence:

The ability to become self-directed.

When people learn to trust their own inner compass, they don't just perform better.

They make better decisions.

Lead with greater conviction.

Navigate uncertainty with purpose.

And discover meaning in the season they're already living—not someday, but today.

Through keynotes that combine brain science, storytelling, and real-time reflection, I help leaders and teams move from self-doubt to self-directed, from going through the motions to showing up intentionally, and from fearful of what’s coming to courageously committed.

I don’t just leave people feeling motivated and inspired. I leave them feeling awakened: knowing how to find the meaning and value of where they are right now, confident and prepared for uncertainty, and ready to play full out.

The result is greater engagement and productivity, enhanced culture and connection, and deeper fulfillment and purpose.

That’s what it looks like to be truly engaged at work. And that’s what I help you create.

The Ownership Gap: The Real Reason Your Workforce is Disengaged and How to Fix It

Most organizations are trying to fix disengagement with better programs—but they’re solving the wrong problem.
In today’s post-COVID workforce, employees aren’t just disengaged—they’re disconnected, uncertain, and no longer motivated by traditional drivers like perks, pay, or promotions alone.

In this keynote, Kendra Mack reveals the ownership gap—the hidden disconnect between employees’ roles and the future they see for themselves—and how closing it turns passive employees into committed contributors who stay, perform, and grow.

Hi! I’m Kendra Mack.

For more than a decade, I’ve consulted with Fortune 500 companies on employee engagement and retention. I’ve also trained and coached thousands of employees across many industries. That work built my expertise, but my own career journey shaped the work I do today.

Before becoming a vice president, I had 39½ jobs in 15 years. Yes, the half counts. I was a job-hopping millennial trying to find my place in the corporate world. I kept looking for someone to show me how to choose a direction that felt like mine, so I continued to drift.

No one taught us how to identify our strengths or connect our purpose to our work. We were expected to choose a career and feel fulfilled without learning how the two fit together.

Finding that connection changed my life. I made a complete career pivot, started over in an entry-level role, and became a vice president less than five years later. Learning to trust my direction and commit to it mattered more than the title.

Since then, I’ve worked at Korn Ferry and trained professionals at Deloitte. I’ve led a consulting practice, become an international keynote speaker, and earned recognition from BEYA as a Modern-Day Technology Leader.

Today, I help organizations develop capable people who trust themselves and take the lead with purpose. My keynotes combine brain science with honest storytelling to help people stop outsourcing their direction and turn inspiration into committed action.

Engagement is an inside job and you’ve got the key to unlock it.

When you work with me, you’re investing in your people, their growth, and their future: empowering them to shift from drifting to self-directed, from burned out to energized, from waiting to initiating, and from disengaged to motivated. That’s how we unlock performance, engagement, and growth together.

WHY COMPANIES BOOK KENDRA?

She's Lived the Search for Direction.

Before the leadership roles, before the keynote stage, Kendra held more than 40 jobs by the age of 33. Not because she lacked ambition—but because she was searching for work that aligned with who she was. That journey became the foundation of the Wayfinder Framework, giving her a unique understanding of what happens when talented people lose connection with their own direction—and how they find it again.

She Connects Personal Transformation to Business Performance.

Kendra understands that organizations don't thrive simply because people work harder—they thrive when people become more self-directed. Drawing on her experience leading organizational development and partnering with Fortune 500 companies, she helps leaders cultivate greater ownership, stronger engagement, and cultures where people don't wait for direction—they create it.

She Creates Lasting Shifts, Not Temporary Motivation.

Kendra's keynotes don't end with inspiration. They give audiences a practical framework for navigating uncertainty, finding purpose in their current season, and leading with greater clarity, ownership, and intention. People leave with more than motivation—they leave with a new way to think, decide, and lead.

Every Experience Is Designed for Your Audience.

No two organizations face the same challenges. Every keynote, workshop, and retreat is thoughtfully customized to reflect your goals, culture, and audience—ensuring every story, strategy, and takeaway resonates long after the event ends.
